Alberta Program and Community Development Manager

FUNCTION: Administrative Support 
LOCATION: Edmonton, AB 
DURATION: 18 Months 
SALARY RANGE: $45,000 - $56,160 

Role Summary
This team-oriented professional has the administrative skills and background to help carry forward the organization’s mission. The Alberta Program & Community Development Manager will provide critical assistance and support to the Foundation. This initial term is for 18 months (about 1 and a half years) with the possibility of an extension. Hours can be flexible but are dependent upon the seasonal need of the position which peaks around November. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Alberta ceremonies 

  • Prospect/renew Alberta ceremony participants 

  • Assist the National Coordinator with the execution of the Beechmount Ceremony 

  • Real-time ceremony support 

  • Collect and track ceremony feedback and testimonials 

  • Manage Alberta ceremony volunteers 

  • Support marketing content and website function 

  • Provide support for the annual Dance to Remember fundraising event 

  • Provide support to the Board of Directors and maintain Board communications 

    • Maintain the Board calendar 

    • Provide minutes of Board and Committee meetings 

    • Provide information to and maintain relationships with Board members 

    • Inform Board members of meeting information and organizational activities 

Accountabilities

  • Reports directly to: President of No Stone Left Alone 

  • Works directly and cooperatively with: CEO, Board and Committee Members, and  

  • No Stone Left Alone Staff and volunteers 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should be a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in an environment that is fast-paced and demanding half the year. In addition to the following: 

  • Bachelor of Arts/Education or related degree with minimum of 3 years administrative experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered. 

  • Experience with event planning 

  • Experience working with youth organizations an asset 

  • Experience working within a nonprofit organization an asset 

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and SharePoint; knowledge of Excel 

  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop 

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and inspire trust 

  • Operate with the utmost degree of integrity and commitment to quality 

  • Work independently with minimum supervision 

  • Display sound judgment in a variety of situations 

  • Display strong organizational skills 

  • Show commitment to the mission and desired outcomes of the organization by contributing to a teamwork environment 

  • Exhibit the principles of continuous learning, servant leadership, and a dedication to excellence 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities 

  • Capacity to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external personalities 

  • Represent the President, and the organization, in a professional manner 

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Compensation
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
