The Regiment is extremely proud to share the most recent announcement of the appointment of BGen Trevor Cadieu as the Commander of 3 Canadian Division this summer following his re-deployment from Op PROTEUS. This is an outstanding announcement for a fellow-Strathcona officer and for our Regiment; General Cadieu’s leadership and mentorship will continue the tradition of exceptional Commanders at the Divisional level in Western Canada.      
 
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to BGen Heatherington for his support for Regiment and his “lead-by-example” charismatic command over the course of this year.  He championed many issues that directly affected the Regiment and Armoured Corps on our behalf and these efforts have not gone unnoticed. He is promoted today to MGen and will take command of the Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Center this summer. Congratulations upon the promotion and appointment of command. We wish him and his family all the best in this next transition.
