NO STONE LEFT ALONE Memorial Foundation
2nd Annual Kraków, Poland Ceremony

The NO STONE LEFT ALONE Memorial Foundation (NSLA) is a Canadian charitable organization dedicated to commemorating fallen Canadian soldiers, with the participation of school children, including the headstones of Canadian soldiers resting in Kraków's Rakowiecki cemetery. There are 15 Canadian soldiers, World War II heroes, buried at the Rakowiecki cemetery.

Students, Principal, and teachers of Szkoła Podstawowa Nr. 58 in Kraków, under the patronage of Tadeusz Kociuszko, committed themselves to partner with NSLA and, every September, commemorate these Canadian headstones with traditional Canadian military remembrance poppies. Students will be laying poppies on headstones of Canadian and allied soldiers.

The remembrance ceremony will include the singing of the Canadian National anthem.

When: Friday, September 14, 2018

The ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony is anticipated to conclude at 11:30 a.m.

Where: Rakowiecki Cemetery, ul. Stanisława Pigonia 2, Kraków, Poland. Parking is limited.

What: NO STONE LEFT ALONE (NSLA) is an initiative launched by Maureen Bianchini-Purvis, with help from the Canadian Armed Forces and Public and Catholic School Boards across Canada, that honours and recognizes the sacrifice that Canadian men and women made while serving in the military. The Kraków commemorative event is significant because of the long-standing relationship between Poland and Canada, and it continues our world-wide initiative to ensure that no Canadian soldier’s headstone is left alone.
